Quality, project management & data security
ISO 9001:2015

DJH Engineering Center is committed to the highest quality standards for it’s customers. To that end we are ISO 9001:2015 Certified for Design of Machines and Their Aggregates in Mechanical Engineering since 2015. Our goals when undertaking the ISO 9001:2015 certification were geared around providing consistent quality of our services, and providing the customer with increased satisfaction through improved process integration, improved resource management, and improved cost efficiency.

Those who become ISO 9001:2015 certified must establish a Quality Management System comprised of guidelines and working procedures for every facet of the company. It is through our Quality Management System that DJHEC is able to streamline it’s processes to reduce wasted efforts and increase efficiency. Once ISO 9001:2015 certification has been obtained the Quality Management System must undergo bi-yearly audits by an independent third party ISO auditing company.

More information regarding ISO 9001:2015 may be found here.

Data security

The security of our client’s data is of paramount importance to DJH Engineering Center. To ensure that data do not end up where it is not intended, we have established the following security protocols.

Employees

Employees’ access is recorded by a key card entrance with video surveillance to insure unauthorized persons are not granted access. Each of our engineers is focused with one company and will not work with other engineers assigned to similar projects. Customer specifications are controlled by business managers and it is the business manager’s responsibility to ensure that the specifications are not compromised. Comparison information is provided by the customer or by an independent third party. We will not disclose or verify comparison information that cannot be found by the customer or independent third party.

Computers

DJH Engineering protocols protect information from theft, misuse, and other natural disasters such as fire, earthquake, and weather. Data are backed up daily, and a weekly backup is created and stored in a secure offsite location. Permissions to files are monitored by the system administrator and periodic log-ins are monitored to ensure that unauthorized access to files has not been attempted. The network is protected by a firewall as well as proxy servers.

FTP

Data transfer is conducted using an offsite FTP site in Salt Lake City. Documents can be encrypted upon request. To access files, it is necessary to have the approved log-in and password to gain access to the project files.

VPN

DJH Engineering uses VPN connections when required by the customer. A VPN is a private connection over an Internet. VPN’s protect information that is sent over a public network (Internet). VPN’s include authentication and encryption to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Post project

Work is stored in an offsite location for 5 years unless requested otherwise by the customer. The primary reason is to redundantly ensure availability of the files for replacement of customer files in the event that a customer’s files are lost and for availability of the data for DJHEC use to answer questions or establish a base for future projects for the same customer.
